Waterborne wax lotion is widely used in different fields

With the start of the environmental protection and defense war, water-based environmental protection materials gradually replace oil-based solvents in many fields, which has become a trend of industry development. As an indispensable water-based coating, water-based wax lotion products are widely used in water-based coating materials due to their unique performance and role.

1、 Change the surface properties of the coating to protect it and adjust its glossiness.

The wax function in most water-based surface coating formulations is to change the surface properties of the coating, such as improving the smoothness or anti slip, anti-wear, anti adhesion, changing glossiness, water repellency, rust prevention, etc. In use, wax particles need to occupy the surface of the coating during the drying process, forming an isolation layer to provide protection.

2、 In some fields, water-based wax lotion is used as a special coating resin. Wax lotion, especially micro lotion, have certain film-forming properties and can form coatings on the substrate. Because wax has excellent hardness, polishability, hand feel, hydrophobicity, good chemical resistance stability, and non-toxic, wax lotion based coatings are commonly used in the field of polish, water resistant agent, and antirust coating.

3、 Isolation and bonding:

Wax is generally considered to have good viscosity resistance and isolation, so it is often used as release agent, isolation agent and other products in paper making, rubber and plastic processing, metal die-casting and other fields, among which polyethylene wax lotion is more widely used. But what is interesting is that among the packaging water-based sealing adhesive products bonded between paper products and PE and PP films, polyethylene wax lotion, rosin and VAE lotion are used in some formulations, and good results have been achieved. Polyethylene wax lotion in the formula mainly plays the role of increasing the adhesion with PE and PP films. Waterborne wax lotion products will be used more and more widely with the deepening of environmental protection and defense.
